Abstract

Spending too much time at the keyboard leaves us all aching and creaky. We'll discover some clever ways to combat that and practice some easy stretches to refresh your body and let you hack for longer.

Sitting at your computer for more than 6 hours a day increases your chance of a heart attack by 40% and getting exercise after work doesn’t make a difference.

I love you all and I want you to live forever so let me show you how to stand up for your health. I will review some facts about sitting too long and share links to resources like stand-up desks and timers to remind you to get out of your chair. Most importantly, I’ll show you what to do when you get up from your desk - not just pour another cup of coffee.

Together we will stand, stretch, and play movement games that you can use every day.
