Where has Co Creation and Making in the past one year led me and others around me.

In the world where User Centered Design has become the core of problem solving, we are creating a lot of products, processes and systems with the involvement of the users. If a thing like design democracy has to come to mainstream then Co Creation is the basic need.

Makerspaces are become a meeting hub for people from various strata and fields. Information and knowledge sharing is happening at an unprecedented rate. I too have been working in a Fablab for past 1 year and built a lot of things along with people. Recently did a co creation workshop with prisoner of Sabarmati Jail to come up with anti theft bags.

I would like to share these experiences and processes.

I'm a Mechanical Engineer with a Masters in Industrial Design from NID Ahmedabad. Have been a maker since I was a kid. I have been building a lot of things like speakers, cnc furniture, origami based objects, toys etc. Have conducted a few workshops on design thinking and systems design. one of the recent on being at Mozfest 2015. Recently I along with Makers of Things set up a makerspace in Riverside school Ahmedabad. I have been working for the past one and half year on open source innovation and makerculture.
